Back

Did ya'all see the moon this evening? Yah, I think you know I have a thing for moons and the night sky by now. :-)

Went to the gym, but only had about an hour before it closed, so I did 15 minutes on the treadmill, some leg presses, some pull ups. Skipped the ab work this evening.

Also stopped by the store to pick up a fondue maker. It's for my cousin's new gf who is joining us for xmas this year. I was thinking I'd trip him out a bit and address the gift to the both of them. I'd love to see his reaction when "they" receive the gift. Ha ha...

Oh...there was a new guy at the front desk of the gym tonight. I forgot to update you all on said gym guy from previous posts. He sent me a text the other day and told me he accepted a job as an acupuncturist on a cruiseship, that left yestereday. So he'll be gone for 4 months traveling to and from Hawaii. Nice, huh? Or random, huh?

Yah, he was pretty young and still trying to figure himself out, so it's cool to see him taking some risks and venturing out there on his own journey of self-discovery. I could tell he was bit out there and uncertain of what he wanted to do with life, so be it. It will be interesting to hear about his travels when (or if) he decides to return...

Anyway, the new gym guy was very nice too. They had free juice samples, and since I was the last one leaving for the day, not only did he set aside some just for me, he also gave me a few more than the customary samples he gave out to everyone else, so that was cool. :-)

Ok...I need to do some packing and finish up some laundry. I will be working for most of the day tomorrow, but will fly out tomorrow evening. Have no fear, 'tho. I will be working from my sis' house and will be posting while on "holiday".

Time at home is funny. All adults and kids will be asleep by 10pm, which leaves a lot of time for the only unmarried, childless person in the house to do whatever. It's times like that when I really get the sense that my life is drastically different from everyone around me, and that all of it has it's pros and it's cons. It can make for some good reflection time when I start to think I want a family. A good reality check, no doubt.

And to Sug...thanks for your help in the search. I know you mean well and you get me and all...but I really just need a breather. :-) Keep the potentials in the queue, 'tho. When I am ready I will call on you and there won't be any regrets!

Tootles!

Dunno why this struck a chord with me, but obviously it's "blog worthy". :-)

Ponder it and let me know what it evokes in you. If nothing, that's fine too.

Good night! Sweet dreams!

Email Future Self

Did ya'all see this link??

Email self in the future. See article.

The concept is interesting. It's got that time capsule feel to it, but how is that different than a blog? It's a novel idea, but if you want my opinion...something like that is better off as a "calendar" reminder of sorts. But, our datebooks already have such features, so why would this concept catch on?? I still don't know if it'll go anywhere, but who knows? The masses have surprised me before with concepts and gadgets that took off like crazy.

Well...my opinion is now captured in this blog post, so add it to your future email and check back here when the email finds itself in your inbox. :-)
