Yay!

It's snowing in the Sierras!! Yippee!!

Some resorts are opening up this weekend. Gonna pull out the snowboard soon. Yippee!!!

WHAT??

A jewelry commercial caught my eye as I sit here working.

Their tag line was something like..."because everyone understands the language of gold".

Uhh...like WHAT?

I dunno...I guess you have to see the commercial to know what I'm talking about, but this time of year really irks me when I see how commerical the holdays have become. Since when did your love for someone have value only if you give them diamonds and gold?

*sigh*

Happy F'ing Holidays to you and your family. J/K...

Randall and Rebecca

The final two are left. I pick Randall, but Trump has a thing for pretty girls, so Rebecca could be the one. Hmm....

Next week! I can't wait!

Mail Quotas and Dinner

I came back to work and lo and behold...I had 2000+ new and unread emails in my inbox. I kept getting a pop-up message stating I had exceeded my mail quota. Great. When I called IT this apparently means I've got a ton more emails backed up in a queue somewhere waiting to appear as soon as I clear up space on my mail server. Nice.

Well...it's now almost 7pm and I have spent all day deleting emails. Seriously. I have been deleting non-stop all day long and I AM STILL EXCEEDING MY QUOTA!!! ARGH!!! Shoot me now...

I was hoping to get through all my emails today, but I only got up to 11/28, which is still not bad, but that means I've still got to go through 2 vacation days of mail, PLUS today's mails, PLUS whatever is in the queue.

Ummm....this also means that I didn't get any work done, either. Hmm...I wonder what would Dilbert's view on this be? Too funny!

I suppose I'll call it a day and maybe login from home and at least get the items in queue into my inbox.

But first: dinner. I'm starving. I have a craving for sushi.

Spicy tuna anyone?

More in a bit! Ta ta!

SO Many Thoughts!

My mind is full of thoughts of Italy.

the culture
food
wine
atmosphere
lifestyle
friendships
unexpected detours
new experiences
good conversations
challenging moments
seeing strengths and weakness in myself and in others, and loving them anyway
nightlife
history
the Italian lady on the train to Florence
the German guy at dinner
the Italian guys at the bar
how different the US is...

Go Away!!

Rain, rain, go away
Come again another day!

Anyone know the rest of that rhyme from childhood??

SO tired of the rain. :-( Bah!

Tiramisu anyone?

Whoops...

Wish I was sipping a cappucino in a piazza somewhere in Italy...

*sigh*

I felt like a change and republished my blog with a new template a few minutes ago. That was a bad idea. It messed up my formatting and also messed up the links I had set up on my page. So I set it back to the original template and now my links are deleted.

Gelato anyone? anyone??

You Know It Was A Great Vacation When...

...You forget your password to access work email!

Ha ha!!

My mind drew a blank as I flew home from D.C. yesterday. I had hoped the password would come to me last night, but no luck. I had to request my password to be reset this morning. Still waiting for it to take effect.

Too funny!!

For "M"

Yo, Chica!

Why didn't you post while I was away? :-P

How's the story contest coming along? Miami in 2 months! I can't wait to see ya! We will partay big time!!

BTW, I happened to stumble upon the Florence International Marathon while I was in Italy! It was SO much fun checking it out while there! I look forward to running mine soon! :-) Will post more about my trip later. I need to get to bed. I plan to go into work tomorrow. Ugh!!

Chat tomorrow...you'd better be on IM!!! :-P

For Angellicus - *Hugs*

Hey there,

I'm here for you. *hugs* I thought about you while I was in Italy as well. I'm glad to know you didn't disappear into the cyber abyss!

May my post help replace some of those ambiguous thoughts with some warm fuzzies!

Blessings!

I'm Back!!

Buongiorno!

Did y'all miss me??

I had a long ordeal coming back from Italy. Flew from Munich to Frankfurt to New York City, then drove from NYC to Washington D.C., which included driving through New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and a couple of others, I think. It's all a blur right now. And then flew from D.C. to San Francisco! I think I have been up and travelling for ~24 hours now. Crazy! But due to just random circumstances, I got to spend half a day in a small German town on this trip. This was unexpected, unplanned, and way cool! Good times!!

Will definitely write more as I get settled back into my routine here. Stay tuned! I sure missed you all!!

Ciao!
