Earthquake and $4 Tolls?!?!
Oh man...today was a bad day for me in terms of local news.
There was an earthquake in South Bay today. It was only 3.7, but this one is a lot closer to me than others that have happened recently. I didn't feel this one, but seems they've been pretty frequent in this area lately.
And then this news about our toll rates going up another dollar. Golden Gate Bridge will remain at $5, but all other bridges are going up to $4 starting next January.
And gas prices that easily reach $2.50 or more per gallon!
*sigh*
Everytime I hear stuff like this I ask myself, "WHY am I living in the bay area again?"
But still...
I do love it here, but I guess everything comes with it's pros and cons.

You could move to Boston :O)
But it's not really any cheaper here.
But still, move to Boston!
p.s. cannot for the life of me make out the word verification.
Move to Boston? With your horse and buggy road maps?? No way. If I lived there and try to navigate around, I'd *really* be asking "where IS South America". :-P
Oh...and word verification...I *told* you...don't read blogs after you get high on your dates! :-P
Ummm...you know what I mean. :-P
LOL!!!!!
Tolls...where I live we don't have tolls. Well, that's not entirely true. If I travel north through WV we have tolls. It is cheaper to live here though.
Stay safe!
You lot shouldn't complain about fuel prices one must state.
You say it costs $2.50/gallon which is $2.50/4 litres.
Here in New Zealand we have to pay $1.41(NZ)/litre all because America bulk bought for winter. Hardly seems fair but then when has life ever been that.
I long for the good old days when petrol cost $0.95(NZ)/litre. Sigh.
Mandy - The east coast has some weird tolls, like $0.76 and odd charges. It's weird. But WV is a nice place. Been there a couple of times and really enjoyed it there.
loweded wookie - I don't think I'm complaining...I guess just pointing out a con? Ha ha...
Thanks for posting!
I'm actually in VA, but to get anywhere north of here I have to take the turnpike (which has three $2 tolls...not too bad really).
